Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me. :la:
Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang. :D
The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Thankful for things.

Its an American holiday that is quite reasonably awesome. Being thankful everything. Even though I'm halfway around the world and not being American myself doesn't mean I can't celebrate with you American cats. Well, I'm always thankful for everything that I really do. especially in DA.
Well,
Heres my thankful things:
I'm thankful for :iconstevensanchez: for the nice comments and encouragements on his piece that I did.

I'm thankful for :icongammaknight: and :iconsjsegovia: who did a portfolio review on my stuff to improve as a colorist.

I'm thankful for my Bro in the USA that brought me the money to get me the Bamboo tablet that I need to pursue in art.

I'm thankful for my family on supporting my hobby and looking forward that there is a direction that I take in life as an artist.

I'm thankful for :iconspidermanfan2099: , :iconmartegracia: , :icontoolkitten: , :iconjohnrauch:, :iconliquidology:, :icongarryhenderson: :iconzatransis: as wonderful inspirational as a colorist that I can lean to and learn to as well..

I'm thankful for McDonald's Cheeseburgers to fill me up at late night coloring work. hmmmm...... cheesburgers.

I'm thankful for the Cebu Comic book people who like my stuff and also the community that we have even thought its quite very little. I'm still thankful for that there is one still breathing geek thing going in this rock.

I'm thankful for the watchers for faving my work and commenting and also commissioners who really like my work and also challenges that they send me. Its always fun and also engaging to do their stuff.. I'm very thankful for it. thank you all

I'm thankful for some americans who ingeniusly stuff turkey with different types of meat in a turkey and roast like a motherfucker.. Hmmm.. Turducken.. Wish I had that in my stomach.

hey dude, I just noticed you put me alongside some of the best colourists out there... thanks a ton man, thats crazy love haha! I'm blushing, as those guys are super talented guys!

Keep busting out those colour works my man, and hope you get more of those cheeseburgers (I'm a double McCheeseburger man myself, 2 at a time as well haha, getting a bit fatty from it tbh!!!)
